Heart Shatter

Shallow words have shallow meanings
Truth I once thought, but yet you deceived me,
Full of promise and remorse lead me to believe
That you genuinely cared, yet all is left is debris.

Dislodging my fears helplessly I fight,
Tormented I am by each passing night
Anguish overrules me so much I cannot stand,
This dehumanising spite completely changes who I am.

Shattered on the floor the glass shards of my heart
Painted vividly in rage, I warned you from the start!
A Simple plea of reason of which with ease was ignored
For a self supporting act left me on my blood stained floor

You knew this was inside me, you knew it all along
Little did you care what my life deemed as wrong
A river full of pain comes gushing from my eyes
When you leave me there to die and go hide behind your lies

Left broken and out of hope, a lonesome echoing sound
Resonates from a blood filled crevice, that I may surely drown
Face first impaled in the cold,  a life of which I hate
Any words to reconsider? Sorry.. It’s too late

Pretending I lack existence is a futile game to play
You only hurt me more, unless you intend it this way
I did nothing wrong to you but you cause me the world full of pain
Inside out is agony... slowly... painfully I fray...

Cheerful and fine are you not a shred of guilt in your mind
Sitting in the corner alone is me resenting my torturous life
Although it seems doubtful, but I promise that I’m trying
That doesn’t change how i spend night after night in my bedroom crying..

You said you “thought it through” and expected me to get hurt
Am I just a game to you? Kick me aside like a speck of dirt
You selfish, unthoughtful pig you said you wouldn’t but you did
Leave my life forever!  It’s no better now that you’re rid
... A friend,  no longer.
